Cat’s Cradle

Cat's Cradle

I finished Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut this weekend.  I really enjoyed it.  It is only my second Vonnegut, and I am looking forward to reading more.  It reminded me a lot of Just a Couple of Days by Tony Vigorito in which something very small can destroy (or at least change) the entire population in a short period of time.

I am now reading Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl (as well as HP1 and Reading Lolita in Tehran).

  1. What do you think about Reading Lolita in Tehran? I've started it a couple of times, but always get distracted with something else, and I'm wondering if I should just commit. I love Lolita itself so much I'm afraid I wouldn't get enough out of it.

  2. It's alright. The writing is kind of confusing at times, but I think the story is interesting. I never read Lolita, so I can't say how it is having that as a background. But the analysis seemed interesting and it made me want to read Lolita.
