I just finished this and loved it. It read really quickly and I found the story of the Walls family captivating and heartbreaking. Ben did well in his recommendation and I’d definitely recommend it to all of you.
Now I am about to start Bluebeard by Kurt Vonnegut. Ben claims this as his favorite Vonnegut so I have high expectations. I’m excited to dive into one of his strange worlds once again.

Glad to hear you liked The Glass Castle!Bluebeard is my least favorite Vonnegut so far.
I still liked it, but liked it least. It will be interesting to hear how you like it!

I read The Glass Castle last year and also really enjoyed it. I think it stood apart from the majority of those "triumph against adversity" memoirs because the author could actually write. I also liked how she was so not into self-pity even when describing really horrendous times in her life.
Have never read any Vonnegut.

The Glass Castle is on my tbr list, so I'm glad to hear that you liked it. As far as Vonnegut goes, I've only read Slaughterhouse Five, but I would very much like to read more of his books.

I'm not loving Bluebeard. I kind of like crazy Vonnegut and this one isn't too crazy so far.

I agree. It was very well-done.And I def. recommend some Vonnegut. Cat's Cradle is my favorite (of the two I've read).

Maybe The Glass Castle can help you get through this tough time of waiting to read New Moon and Eclipse.
If you liked Slaughterhouse Five, I'd give Cat's Cradle a try. But those are the only ones I've read so I can't really recommend anything else.

Hahaha, maybe it can! Oh wow it's been hard! Both books keep staring at me from my bookshelf. However, I'm reading Water for Elephants right now and I am loving it. I think Cat's Cradle is on my tbr, along with several others. I'll have to make sure I read some more Vonnegut soon.
