Books Read: May

Mansfield Park (Signet Classics)

The Host: A Novel

As I’ve mentioned, May was not a very good reading month for me.  I struggled through Mansfield Park and that is probably why I only managed two books.  I just found it kind of boring and I didn’t like Fannny.  Not the witty and fun Jane Austen that I was hoping for.  It did get better toward the end but it still comes in dead last on my list of favorite Austen novels.  I am, however, one step closer to fulfilling my goal of reading all 6 of her books.  I only have Northanger Abbey left.

I am currently reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls and I’m hoping it kicks off a better reading month for June.

I really liked The Glass Castle. As I remember, it has a very quick pace too – hard to put down. That sounds like a great one to kick off a great month of reading.
