Yesterday was my 26th birthday.  It was my first birthday living away from home, but my mom came to visit so I still had a home-cooked meal.  I spent the day at the beach (pretty sure that’s a first for me too).  We had the most perfect weekend here – 80s and sunny everyday.  It’s really the first nice weather we’ve had this year so we spent as much time outdoors as possible.  On Saturday, I used my firm’s tickets to go see the Tigers and the Phillies.  We have season tickets to the Phillies spring training games so we take long lunches and go to as many games as we can.  I kind of have an amazing job.

For my birthday, Ben got me a GPS for my car and 4-day passes to Disney World which I’m hoping to use soon.  I also got the 6th season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer so I made them watch the musical episode with me while I sang along.  🙂  My dad sent me a plant which is now brightening up my otherwise plain office.

I seem to be at the age that a calm birthday is just what I want.  No more crazy nights at the bar involving way to much alcohol.  I still love birthdays and was mad that I got screwed out of a full 24 hours thanks to Daylight Savings Time.

Not much else new with me.  I’m pretty busy at work.  Still reading A Girl Named Zippy but I should finish soon.  Then maybe I can finish up some other half-read books.
