When I first started a blog back in 2007, I had a very finite universe of people that it was meant for.  While it was always public and open to anyone, it was really a place to interact with the other readers I had met through Rory’s Book Club.  Everyone used vox, so I used vox.  This was really my first experience with online friends and it ended up being so much more enjoyable than I could have ever expected.  As we all started to grow, vox wasn’t always enough (I won’t go through the reasons why I left again).  Right around the time that I moved to wordpress, a few of these other original voxers left, too.

This post is simply a way for me to take a moment to feature their new blogs.  Please check them out as they are all wonderful people and I’ve enjoyed their blogs for years.

• Today, Emily at Books, The Universe, and Everything just launched her new blog (and there might be a giveaway on it).  She mostly discusses books and occasionally throws in a cooking post or one featuring pictures she’s taken.  My favorite posts are her Pollysyllabic Sprees where she discussses what she read and bought each month.  They are always so much more detailed than mine will ever be.

• Like me, Dominique of Coffee Stained Pages moved to wordpress.  She also focuses mainly on books but also gives us glimpses into her (very-fashionable) closet and life in Australia.  Her reviews are always beautifully written.  Dom is also one of the fantastic admins at Rory’s Book Club.

• Jennifer at Book Addict posts solely about books (as far as I can remember).  She and I have very similar taste in books and I always like reading her take on a book I’ve read or am hoping to read soon.
