Teaser Tuesday 3-2-2010

“And as the week progressed the throbbing of my biological clock syncopated with my crepe anxiety until they formed one jazz rhythm. Because what if I got to the age of thirty without having learned to make a crepe? What would have been the point of this whole exercise then?”

– p. 207 of Julie and Julia by Julie Powell –

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!

Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Haha, great teaser! Luckily I learned how to make crepes in French class at school 🙂

I never took French, but we did learn some in 3rd grade and one day we made crepes. But that was also the last time I made crepes.

I’m not loving the book. I think this may be one of the rare situations where the movie is better. But I haven’t watched it yet.
