Instead of saving this for a Mailbox Monday/In My Mailbox post (and because I may be giving memes up for a little while depending on the results of my poll which I’ll share tomorrow), I thought my new books would get their own post today. I had a good chunk of gift card money so on Tuesday, Ben and I had a date night (date night for us = dinner + book shopping).

Books and gift cards for book stores definitely make the best presents! Knowing your love of Dystopian YA lit, I’m sure you’ll love The Forest of Hands and Teeth as much as I did – it was one of my favorite reads last year, it’s stayed with me ever since! Actually, I just finished reading the sequel, Dead-Tossed Waves, last week. Let me know how you like TFHT.

You have some good stuff there! I’ve read three of them, and two of those (The Weight of Heaven, The Opposite of Me) may make an appearance on my ‘best of’ list at the end of the year. I recently acquired Kirk Faber’s book too, and I can’t wait to read it.

I read the first five pages of the Knife of Never Letting Go, and I was so turned off by the bad spelling (yes, I realize your normal 12-year-old isn’t a great speller, but it annoyed me) and the profanity that I quit.

I have Willow on my TBR pile. Both Beth Fish Reads and Pop Culture Junkie rave about how good it is. I have to pick it up and read it soon. I hope you enjoy Forest of Hands and Teeth, it was great! I just finished the follow up and loved it even more.
