- 20% classics? Kind of failing this one. Does Alice in Wonderland Count?
- 15% nonfiction/memoir? Close. 11% but I’m in the middle of a science book
- I haven’t read any of the specific authors I mentioned (Atwood, Allende, and Vonnegut)
- I haven’t read any of the specific books I mentioned (Uglies, The Art of Racing in the Rain, David Copperfield, Betsy-Tacy – last five books, The Age of Innocence).

I would count Alice in Wonderland as a Classic. If not for grown-ups it’s certainly a childhood classic.

You had a good reading month in March. Alice in Wonderland definitely counts. I was sort of trying to read one classic per month but it fell by the wayside when I got halfway through A Portrait of a Lady in February and then put it down. I don’t want to start anymore classics until I finish that one because I know otherwise I may never get to it, but I’m never in the mood to pick it up.

Alice is totally a classic. And I absolutely adored The Help, so I’m glad you read that instead of, say, David Copperfield. (Does that make me shallow? Probably.)
