Just a couple over the last few weeks (I’m trying very hard not to add too many – so these are only the ones that I REALLY want to read).
The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

I have heard of the Cellist of Sarajevo and thought it looked like a good read. I’m currently teaching the Cold War, and this wartime in Sarajevo is towards the end of that. So this would be great for me to read right now :o) If I had the time…haha

Ooh I loved The Cellist of Sarajevo when I read it last year. I haven’t read Hex Hall but I have seen a few good reviews of it, I might have to add it to the tbr as well.

I read a beautiful review of ‘The Cellist from Sarajevo’ recently in the newspaper. Nice to see it on your ‘TBR’ list. Looking forward to reading your review of it. I read a book last year called ‘Fax from Sarajevo’ and then read a bit about the history of Bosnia and felt very sad at what had happened.

I read People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks last year and that was the first book about (at least in part) Sarajevo. It is so sad to see what happened to a city with such rich history.

Geraldine Brooks’ book sounds quite interesting. Does the ‘Book’ refer to ‘The Bible’ (Jewish / Christian) and ‘The Koran’?
