Books: June 2010 [Recap]

Quick note: I am taking everyone’s advice and not forcing myself to read this week.  Instead I will watch massive amounts of guilt-free television. I think I will spend today going through the 1000+ posts in my reader to see if any of you can send me some inspiration as well.

On to real business. June ended up being a normal reading month for me despite my late-month reading funk. My biggest accomplishment was FINALLY finishing East of Eden. At the halfway mark of 2010, I am on pace to read 72 books this year which far exceeds any other year.   So here they are, my June books:

Other reviews will hopefully be coming soon. Happy July!

Congratulations on finishing East of Eden. I saw you mention it quite a few times on twitter and it seems to have been a hard one to finish for you. (I haven’t read it, so I can’t share my own experience of reading the book).

Enjoy doing whatever you like in the upcoming week(s), it’s good to take a break sometimes.

Wow, congrats on reading East of Eden, that´s quite a feat! 🙂

Checking your reader after a while is scary, isn´t it?

One day I’ll finish East of Eden. I really like it so I’m not sure why I haven’t finished yet…

Random question – Do you use a particular program to get the book covers like that? Or is it just Paint? I have the hardest time making things line up right when I review multiple books and want to include the covers.

I use Picasa. I actually use it to host all my pictures but I LOVE the collage feature.
