Last October, I experienced my first 24-hour-readathon. I still felt pretty new to the book blogging world and I wasn’t entirely sure what I was getting into. But I had a blast. And met so many awesome people. So I am thrilled that this October’s readthon is on the one Saturday I have no plans this month (although I will be watching the Michigan/Michigan State game in the middle – I assume Emily is with me on this one).
I’ve decided to dedicate next week’s readathon to library books. Because they are quickly taking over my staircase (that’s where they live when the come to say with me) and I would love to actually read a few of them before they must be returned. So my reading list was pretty easy to come up with. These are the books I currently have checked out and I hope to get to 2-3 of them next Saturday.
Knowing me, I’ll probably end up reading the two YA books during he readathon but I’ll see how I feel then.

I thought about participating this year, but I’ll be in Copenhagen. Maybe next year though.

I signed up for the Readathon too, this will be my first year participating. Unfortunately, I signed up before a whole lot of family obligations came up, and I’ll also be taking a break to watch the Michigan game. But I’m hoping I’ll still get some reading in.

Well it’s NEXT Saturday – the 9th. Does that change anything? (Wasn’t sure if you caught the date).
Even if you just sign up for a little bit of cheerleading, it’s a great way to meet some other book bloggers.

…welp, I can tell I spent the last two days frying my brain in clinical lol.
Next saturday I’ll be with my boyfriend (LDR). I’ll check it out though 😀

I’m doing the readathon too! I’m looking really forward to it. I’ll be reading books from my TBR shelve. I’ve got a possible list already. Hope I can get a few of them read.
As I’m in the Netherlands, the read-a-thon will be from 2pm Sat to 2pm Sun, so a little awkward.

Yes. That would be awkward. I have yet to make it past 1pm during one of these so I should probably call it the 17 hour readathon.

Your reading pile looks wonderful, Michelle! I love the title ‘Russian Winter’ (which is most of the year for Russians, I think :)) Would love to hear your thoughts on it.
I am not sure whether I would signup for the readathon this year. It is festival time in my place and I have to make a few visits next weekend. If I change my mind in the 11th hour, I will try to join. Hope you have a wonderful time at the readathon. I will be cheering you and other blogfriends.

Linger should be the first you read. SO awesome and a very quick read overall. It will give you that burst of accomplishment 🙂
I’m a fly by the seat of my pants girl so I have no idea what I’ll read but I suspect the first of my selections will be somethng thin and fast!

How exciting! And oh. my. god. I have the craziest stack of library books that I need to get through. Linger and Room are on my list, too! Not yet in at the library, though I think Mr. Peanut is waiting for me.
I may end up just hopping around while people read. Depends on what gets dropped on my head before school’s out Friday. Enjoy this, though! Woo!

That’s a great stack of books! Linger counts as YA, so you should be good there.
I wish I was participating this time around, but my reasons for not participating are too cool to feel too badly. Have fun!

Like you, the read-a-thon fell on the one Saturday that I didn’t have any binding obligations. I’ve been seeing Room everywhere in the blogosphere and only good things, so that seems like a good choice.
