Top Ten Books I’m So Happy Were Recommended to Be [Top Ten Tuesday]

You all make me read some awesome books. Books I never would have read otherwise. In no particular order, I give you The Top Ten Books I’m So Happy Were Recommended To Me (share yours in the comments!):

1.

My Name Is Memory by Ann Brashares
Recommended by: Jennifer at Mrs Q: Book Addict
I didn’t love the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books so I probably would have passed this one by if Jennifer hadn’t recommended it.

2.

Genesis by Bernard Beckett
Recommended by: Beth Fish Reads
Spent a wonderful afternoon with this one.

3.

Hate List by Jennifer Brown
Recommended by: Michelle at Galleysmith
I shy away from books about school shootings but I couldn’t resist when Michelle recommended to me.

4.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Recommended by: Random Teenager
Again, a wonderful afternoon spent with this one.

5.

The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks bu E. Lockhart

You do such a good job of keeping track of who recommends books! I don’t always remember exactly who recommended it but notice when I see a few good reviews from people I trust.

I had to do a little digging for the recommenders. Generally, I try to say who forced a book upon me in the review. 🙂

I have not read any of these books, and now I am thinking, where the heck have I been? All of these sound wonderful, and I am adding a few to my wish list. Thanks for sharing them!

I’m like Colleen…I can’t remember who gives me my ideas. I totally DO remember when Candace reviewed Genesis. I think I tried to track it down on audio and had no luck. I may have to get back on the library website again and see.

Not to get melodramatic in the comments section, but “Perks” basically got me through my freshman year of high school. I love it with the fire of a thousand suns. Also love “Frankie Landau” and “Blankets.” Nice picks, pal!

I have Blankets on my shelf from the library. It’s the second time I’ve checked it out, so I really need to get to it. Your blog is lovely, by the way.
