Hello, fellow Armchair BEA participants. While many of our friends have traveled to New York City this week for BEA, I know we are going to have some fun on our own from the comfort of our homes (trust me, our backs and feet will be so much more comfortable than theirs) (also, we don’t have to worry about trying to hail a cab from the Javits Center – a virtually impossible feat).
For those of you who are new to the blog, welcome to my books. my life. I read a little bit of everything but I would say my main genres are literary fiction and dystopian and paranormal YA (I like to think the lit fic balances out the YA). I review everything I read but not necessarily in a timely manner. Have a look around, read about me, or check out the books I’ve read this year.
I did attend part of BEA and the Book Blogger Convention last year. You can read about my experiences here, here, and here. This year is full of other traveling so my work schedule and bank account just wouldn’t let me swing it. I hope to attend again next year, but until then, I am happily Armchair BEA-ing with you.
It’s nice to meet you!

Glad to have found you! Went to BEA for 18 years. The bookshops where I was marketing director closed 3 years ago. I miss seeing my friends at BEA so am happy to make new ones here!

Not only am I not going to BEA, I’m not even doing Armchair because I am a nuthead spinning out of control, trying to get my life together before heading out into the wild blue yonder. I’ll be following all of the Armchair posts though. And plan for my BEA trip in 2018.

You are probably smarter than me. I want to do EVERYTHING and I should probably be getting my life together before I also head out into the wild blue yonder.

i’m not new to your blog, but wanted to say hello anyhow. i hope that Armchair BEA is at least as much (or more) fun than BEA itself. your feet think so, right?

I also believe that the lit fic balances out the YA. I actually have a ratio in my head of 1 classic lit fic = 3 YAs. 🙂 Nice to meet you! I hope you stop by eclectic / eccentric and say hi!

I tried to do a more 1:1 ratio for awhile but that was hard. I like yours better.

BEA is too far for me. I would only go in person if it were for business.
Unless I’m ill or traveling (and don’t have access to the internet), I post a review each and every day. Come learn more about me and my blog.
