The Sunday Salon [7.24.11]

The Sunday Salon.com
The pile of half-read books is slowly dwindling. Which, of course, meant I rewarded myself by starting a new book. This week I finished Blood Work (which I’d been “reading” since May). I also finished Feed in audio (and posted the review on Friday).

So now I am reading The Last Little Blue Envelope by Maureen Johnson as my reward book before tackling the remaining half-read books. I am also finishing up my reread of Mockingjay as my audiobook.

Did you all read a lot while you were hiding from the heat this week (and did you enjoy the taste of my world)? Read anything good?

Oh I’m not the only one who hasn’t finished Mockingjay, lol! I need to get to that one of these days.

This was actually a reread. Sorry. You might be alone. 😉

Oh nooo lol! But I remember reading about Mockingjay here before so that’s right, haha. One of these days I’ll get to it…

I’m inspired. I have quite a few half read books. I think I need to face the fact that I won’t be finishing some of them and sit to read the others. I might need a visit with the life coach.

I’ve got Blood Work on my nightstand. I’m slowly working my through those UCF Bookfest books. I really don’t have any half-finished books around. I’m so anal-retentive, it drives me crazy, and I have to finish everything.

I have one half-finished book on my shelf, and I can’t get up enough gumption to finish it. It’s a book that I took a chance on, and I am finding that it’s not to my tastes at all and is rather depressing. It’s called Sex and the River Styx, and is basically a bunch of essays about getting old and dying, and how the younger generation doesn’t appreciate anything. I am not liking this at all!

If I don’t like a book, I’ll give up on it. These were/are all books I actually really wanted to finish. 🙂

Very inspiring! I have quite a few books that are half-read on my shelves. I should pick one (or more) of them up…or count them for lost and get rid of them!
