Paris in Pictures

We’re almost done. But don’t be sad. My favorite city is up today: Paris! It was HOT in Paris. Really hot. Like 104 degrees (40 celsius). We’re from Florida so normally we can deal with heat. But Florida has air-conditioning. Paris does not. Paris also has a really crowded metro with no ventilation. But we spent a lot of time in museums with the amazing Paris Museum Pass so that helped.

Despite the heat, I loved our stay in Paris. I loved everything about the city. I would move there in a heartbeat if I could. Sadly, my extensive knowledge of ballet terms (my only French) was not very helpful.

Louvre

The Louvre (we had to leave quickly – I couldn’t take the crowds or the vastness. I preferred Musée de l’Orangerie and the Musée d’Orsay)

Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower (Do you know how HUGE this is? I didn’t. It is BIG.)

Sacré-Coeur

Sacré-Coeur (+ we had a wonderful view of this from our room)

Versailles

Versailles (I was a bit disappointed honestly – too many palaces by this point I think.)

If you missed it: Athens, Rome, Florence, Venice, Vienna, Prague, and Munich.

The next post will be London. Hope you are still enjoying these.

You know, even in the photos, you can tell it was hot out there. Something about how bright the sky was and how the clouds were absent. I love getting a peek at these places through your incredible photography. All the images are so clean and well composed. Great photos!

I can’t take all of the credit. Ben took a lot of the pictures (although I jazz them up before posting them here).

I have never been to Paris! I realize this is a major problem…I cannot go through life without seeing it. I’ve done Nice, but totally not the same thing. These pictures are amazing. I can just imagine the wine and the cheese!

I LOVE the Musée d’Orsay. When I was there we also visited Sacre Coeur a bunch, which was very cool.

No air-conditioning in that kind of heat! Is it because they don’t often have those kinds of temps, or because of the cost of electricity (which I know is astronomical in Europe)?

Great pictures, btw – thanks for sharing

You take such beautiful pictures! I know they aren’t the same as being there in person but at least you have some great reflections to look back on.
