Mini-Review:
Just a few quick words here for these two Wicked Lovely novellas. Stopping Time and Old Habits take place after Ink Exchange. As you may remember, I adored the first book and I liked Ink Exchange. Well, I could have done without these. They both had a lot to do with the Niall/Irial relationship, which is…complicated. And there are clearly nuances of the faery world involved that the reader doesn’t understand – so I was frustrated. We do find out more of their history, which I suppose may come in handy later in the series, but, as of right now, I’m not sure it couldn’t be done within a full novel. I’ll let you know when I read the remaining Wicked Lovely books.
I’m not sure I really like this trend of inserting novellas into series. What do you think?
I don’t mind it when the novellas are good, but when they further confuse the issues at hand, I think I would rather they just remain in the author’s drawer. It sounds like this one was not a very good read. Sorry that it didn’t work for you.

I don’t like the novella trend either. Without an ereader it’s hard for me to get my hands on them.
I enjoyed these novellas. They were part of Marr’s Faery Tales and Nightmares. I have finished the series and I felt these novellas added to what I knew about the characters.
