TSS: October 2012 Recap

The Sunday Salon.com

It’s that time again. October in review.

Reading:

This was not my best reading month. I am still trying to figure out how to be a working mom and find time to read. Bear with me. In October, I read:

  1. We Have Always Lived in the Castle (audio) (reread)
  2. The Doula by Bridgit Boland (audio)
  3. With My Body by Nikki Gemmell
  4. Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr (audio)
  5. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Blogging:

In addition, I also reviewed PerfectThe ChaperoneThe Ugly Duchess; and A Land More Kind Than Home.

I shared the baby products I couldn’t live without; I asked for opinions about listening to audiobooks with the baby; and, most importantly, read my own books!

Baby:

Evan is five months old. Can you believe it? He’s rolling over both ways, trying to sit up, and interested in grabbing EVERYTHING. It’s really fun watching him grow and change and develop a personality.

And now I am off to run a 5k. With absolutely no training. Wish me luck.

    5 months? Wow. I can’t believe it.

It only seems like yesterday you were still talking about preparations for having him. 🙂

He is getting so big!!!! He is adorable. Well, I think you are doing swimmingly at the reading. And if it makes you feel any better, I don’t work, my kids are at school all day, and I read a whopping 126 pages this week. So there you go. I suck at reading these days. I’d lose it without audios.

P.S. Good luck on the 5K. You will do fine. You are a runner, and while you might not have a personal record, your body will remember what it is supposed to do!

You’re doing great! We all have great and not-so-great moments as moms and as women. My reading has taken a nose dive in the past month or so. If it weren’t for audios, I would never finish a book these days!

I am seriously in love with your son. His smile brightens my day every time!

Baby looks very happy!! I think he’s adorable. I have not had the best reading month either, and am getting all worked up about my end of the year reading post. I don’t think I read anything that really blew me away!
