My Thoughts:
Remember this series? It’s the one with the vegan vampire runners. Sounds great for me, right?
The Ghost Runner continues to be a unique option in the vampire genre. Sure, it is sometimes predictable and sometimes infuriating (Kat makes an awful decision that just killed me at the time), but it’s mostly just pretty entertaining.
This series has an agenda. Ashland Creek Press only publishes books that have an environmental focus. In The Ghost Runner, that focus takes an anti-development position. It can get a bit preachy at times, but then again, we all probably need a little preaching. I just wanted to point that out as a warning.
Is anyone else reading this series?
VEGAN VAMPIRE RUNNERS??? Good Lord. And preachy environmental just won’t cut it with me. I do agree that we all need to check ourselves with the environment, but when I start to feel a little brow-beat, I get defensive. I read to escape, not to be lectured!

Ha. Yeah, Sandy, I don’t think this one is for you.

I hadn’t heard of this series before, but it sounds a little different than most of the other vampire lit out there. I don’t really mind the ecological bent, but if became too preachy, I might get annoyed. I think this is one that I will have to look at and sample to see if I agree with it.
