Title: The Ocean at the End of the Lane
Author: Neil Gaiman
Publisher: William Morrow
Our unnamed narrator returns to the town of his childhood and is drawn to the Hempstock Farm, where he recalls an other-worldly adventure he had with Lettie Hempstock when he was seven.
This strange little book was such a joy to get lost in. It’s weird. The rules of the Hempstock’s world aren’t always clear. But it’s so good.
Gaiman’s writing is gorgeous, as always. And his fairytale style and attention to detail really brings The Ocean at the End of the Lane to life.
I know this review is short, but I really don’t want to say too much about this because it’s worth discovering on your own.
