Since its inception earlier this year, I’ve looked forward to my Bloggers Recommend email each month. Twenty upcoming books to look forward to.
But then I realize that I can’t read 20 books a month, so the excitement quickly turns to anxiety and I feel the weight of all the books I will never read.
Well I’m going to do something I can do. I am going to read one book from the Bloggers Recommend list each month.
So what should it be in August? (I was already going to read Night Film, so I want to pick something else).
PS – If other people are interested, I can turn this into an official challenge. Let me know.

That’s a great challenge! I love getting that newsletter as well…and then I panic for the same reason you do, lol. I’m interested in a bunch of the August picks but The Purchase has particularly intrigued me. Good luck 😀

I think it’s a great,challenge. Typically I read one or more books from Bloggers Rec. this month less because I’m doing a challenge to read from my book stacks. ,

Great idea for a low pressure reading challenge. I always want help choosing the next book I read, my TBR list can be intimidating. NIGHT FILM looks great, and I’m halfway through THE BONE SEASON.

I am currently reading Love and Lament, but I also plan to read Night Film. There are so many books on my TBR list that I also experience a bit of anxiety that there is not enough time to read them all.
At least goodreads will keep track of my list until I have time on my hands, say when I am sufferung from empty nest syndrome in 18 or so years 😛
