I finished Dreams from My Father today. I really enjoyed the last part of the book. I absolutely loved the narrative of his family’s history that Granny told. It was very interesting to see his family in Kenya and their culture and traditions. I think it is a great book for anyone who has ever struggled with identity issues.
In other news, Ben had his surgery today (ACL reconstruction). It went very well and he is doing great. It’s going to be a rough few days for him and his recovery will be long, but he’s been through it before so I know he’ll be fine. Pretty soon he’ll be playing soccer like before.
