I think I’ve used Eating Animals in a previous Teaser Tuesday but I put it down for awhile and now I’m finishing it. And there are so many good teasers in this book.

I think the idea of pollution offsets is interesting from an economic persepective, but my environmental self just wants to make everyone stop polluting all together. Not sure it works if people can afford to cheat.

Very probably the cannot. But I know all these things we should do aren´t all possible for everyone and I mostly try to do things in moderation (like taking the train, but once a year I want to fly to London).

Interesting teaser! Yes, it is sometimes easy for corporations to pay the fines rather than change the system. Don’t know whether fines are a real deterrent anymore, when the alternative is to change the business model or go out of business.

Seems quite a thought-provoking read. I firmly believe that environmental issues should be taken personally and each of us should start doing his/her bit. We cannot expect a global solution without getting involved persobally. Every little bit helps. All the best. Ciao. A.
