The Sunday Salon [11.21.10]

The Sunday Salon.com
Just a quick note to say hello this Sunday. I haven’t had a chance to read at all this week (other than a tiny bit of my audiobook while running) and I’m actually not reading anything right now and haven’t had “a book” since last weekend. This is why I will happily be participating in the Thankfully Reading weekend this Thanksgiving.

Thankfully Reading is a very informal readathon.  I’ll be visiting my dad in Boston but I’m hoping to get a few books read while I’m away. I’m trying to travel light so I’m only taking one print book with me (for takeoffs and landings) and I’ll be attempting to get to some of the ebooks  I’ve been saving up.

I hope you hear from me at some point this week (seriously, when is life going to get less crazy again?) but if I do not end up posting anything (and let’s be honest, that’s more likely) I want to wish all of my US readers a wonderful Thanksgiving. Happy Reading!

Over the River and Through the Woods…

Ben and I are on our way to Boston today to spend Thanksgiving with my dad and various other relatives. My dad moved back to Massachusetts shortly after I moved to Florida and as a result I haven’t seen him in over a year (he was a stop on my post-campaign road trip last November).  I never thought this much time would pass without seeing my dad (but hey, life happens) so I am beyond thrilled to be spending the long weekend with him. I have a few posts scheduled so I won’t be completely absent, but I’m sure my online presence will be diminished while I spend some quality time with my family.  I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving (and a nice weekend to my non-US-readers).

And now I leave you with the books I’m taking with me on my trip:
